Do you carry where ever yo go? I use to carry everyday for a living working in Law Enforcement and training to be in those situation. I wore the badge with pride and believe in the 2nd amendment. When on-duty I carried a Smith and Wesson M&P9 full size. When I carried off-duty I would carry my Smith and Wesson Shield Plus. Since I left the law enforcement for reasons that were true for the job I loved it and miss it some days.
I am working in a different industry that I have to cross state lines and travel a bit for work so carrying full time is not always an option but I ALWAYS am wearing a knife. I never leave the house without a knife it have saved me more times then I can count. Normally I am wearing my Milwaukee fastback razor knife but also if I am going somewhere and dressed up I carry a Kershaw.
What I Carry on the everyday?
I stayed strong in the Smith and Wesson Corner and carry the trusted Shield Plus with the 13rd mag in it when I am not working on going out. It’s had plenty of rounds through it and the safe option being small enough to conceal but large enough to have multiple shots on multiple targets if needed. I have not had any problems with feeding or ejections from this little firearm and it stays in the holster on my side.
For home, I have two weapons available to Rem 870 12ga and a taurus pt-111 the pt-111 use to be my everyday carry firearm but once I purchased the shield I never looked back at the pt-111 and it became my favorite small pistol.

Carry any firearm you trust and like but if your are carrying to conceal make sure you conceal. Carrying conceals ensures you are the surprise for anything that happens. Conceal carry is a good way to ensure your not the first target.
I would not carry your most expensive firearm or even the one that cost a pretty penny. When is needed is a budget friendly tool – that is exactly what your going to be using it as. The firearm needs to be clean and ready for use but not the one your grandfather carried and handed down. THis is because if you do have to use it. This firearm will be taken, locked up and held as evidence until the trial which could take some time.
If you need help picking a firearm I highly Suggest Honest Outlaw and Tactical Considerations on Youtube. Both have good reviews and shows options on the firearms.
